3-D

I cannot remember where we saw this quilt. I have never seen one like it. It is a three dimensional cutout. That is the only way I can think to describe it. Have you ever seen one like it? Do you know the name? Maybe my follower Rose can tell me. I would think it might get beat up or torn pretty easily.

It is gorgeous and a lot of work. I will ask a quilter friend of mine about it.

I've seen puff quilts listed on EBay long ago. They were 3D. Dunno if that is what they're called generally, or just that particular site. Love the colors of this one.

This is so pretty. Not only are the blocks unique but the colors are beautiful. It's like origami with fabric.

Maybe this one would only be used to hang on a wall art to hang on a quilt holder. Because it's so beautiful if even if you only use it for like a spread you'd have to be careful and to never sit on it. It may not be very practical but it certainly absolutely gorgeous to look at and I see a lot of work

I've never seen a quilt made that way, either. It must have taken extra hard work to make it! I love the beautiful design and elegant colors :-)

I have always heard it called Folded Star. Usually it is made as a wall hanging and just always lays flat. I don't remember if the tips are tacked down or not. Here is the link to images: https://www.google.com/search?q=Folded+Star&sxsrf=ALeKk00smRtA39aqBX4Wpt4tjMwOwMRffw:1596634246387&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiJgd6IloTrAhUQSK0KHe0rAewQ_AUoAnoECA8QBA&biw=1536&bih=674&dpr=1.25

I am in a hurry or would look up details...but if you are real interested, just look. It is just a matter of taking squares of material and folding them.

Sooooo much work!

But I know nothing about quilts, so that is all I can give. Appreciation.

Oh and I love, how you made the color of your 'links,' lavender, to match the colors of the quilt, which is your Header!!!!!

Isn't it fun, to play with our Blog Look????????? ~smile~
