A Drive Down Bell's Lane

We drove down Bell's Lane again today. Didn't really see any birds or deer, but we did see some beauty. These Jewelweed flowers, hanging by a thread and shmmering like real jewels.

I don't know the name of these, maybe some kind of wild sunflower or tickseed. Do you know what they are?

And tiny Pearl Crescent Butterflies, sucking up minerals from the dirt.

May all your weeds be wildflowers.

Wow! The butterfly is beautiful, and the flowers to!
On my blog where the dandelion is ... it's not a book, it's a drawing I made on the pages of an old book!
I wish you a nice week!

I've never seen anything like the jewelweed or the other. Very pretty. I just saw a little butterfly like the one in your picture for the very first time. I was out in the back yard with Gibbs yesterday and there it was flitting around. I wanted to go grab my camera but I knew it would be gone before I got back.

Love your pictures today. Thanks for your thoughts about the varieties of M and M's. I will be on the lookout for the "new" flavors and expect to see a blog post when I get enough pictures. Take care!
