The Worshipped One

Meet the Black Headed Ibis. We saw him in a zoo. Such a large and beautiful bird. There are 28 different kinds of Ibis!

In ancient Egypt, Ibis were worshipped and hunting them was forbidden.

“Worship and serve him heart and soul! Don’t chase after ghost-gods. There’s nothing to them. They can’t help you. They’re nothing but ghost-gods! God, simply because of who he is, is not going to walk off and leave his people. God took delight in making you into his very own people.”
1 Samuel 12

How pretty. With the black and white coloring it reminded me of a tuxedo.

Ancient bird species. I don't think I've ever seen one "live". Only on TV...pbs Nature.
