Gnarled

I was so fascinated by this tree trunk. The tree is very old, and on the property of Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. Phil posed next to it so you can get perspective on the size. I can see many things in it, do you see anything?

I am always fascinated with trees... the formation of the trunks and leaves and all... they have a style of their own, if you know what I mean.. hahahaa

Trees are so great. The trunk looks to me like an elephant's foot with warts. If that makes any sense.

Wow, that is a fascinating tree, and I can see several things, but what stands out the most is a giant hand reaching down to grasp something (palm facing me and a very distinct thumb).
