The Berries

These berries hang in the yard of our neighbor across the street. They are so BRIGHT red, and even the stems are red. They are not Holly, but I have not been able to identify them. Does anyone know what they are?

Autumn birds speak cheerful poetry from their berry-stained beaks.

Looks like winter berry. But, I'm not sure if they have "red" bark.

that last pic is Christmas card perfect, and also I would be asking the owner for a sprig like that to put in my vase on the kitchen table.

I've never seen anything so bright red in nature. I have no idea what they are called.

Seems like I'm with the majority and don't know what they are called either.
I like Sandra's suggestion of asking for a brance to put in your own vase..then you can ask what it is too.

Gorgeous!!!!!

Do the birds eat them? They seem to know, when they encounter poison ones...

I can't tell unfortunately, Ginny, without looking closely at the foliage. Try Googling red berries for your zone adding bloom time, etc....:)jp
