Where They Live

Now to show you up in the Himalayas where the monkeys live. No one much lives there except a few locals and the monks.

The air smelled deliciously of pine-needles, herbs and woodsmoke, of the little yellow climbing roses that grow wild in the Himalayas...

I am surprised by all the color there - I was thinking it would be barren and cold. Pretty.

Monks have always fascinated me... especially the cloistered ones. I wonder if I could "do" that life? Right off the bat I say "yes" but when it came right down to it, I'm not so sure. ~Andrea xoxo

Reminds me of a book I read, long ago. When I liked Shirley McLaine. She wrote "Don't fall off the mountain" which was a "wild" book, about her time... Up there. -grinnnnnnnn-

And the thin air, would be hard on me too.
