Finally!

Today we were finally able to get together with our family, after maybe two years? All due to Covid of course. The occasion was Phil's birthday and our granddaughter Dara's birthday. Their birthdays are only three days apart. We celebrated outside, in perfect weather, and our son and daughter-in-law had such nice things in the back yard. Pizza, ice-cream cake, and layered salad were served.

Miss Vivian was never far from where there was food to be had.

Jazz had learned how to do a handstand.

Time for gift opening!

We brought over this tower throwing game, and fun was had playing it, even in the twilight.

Here I am with all three Grands.

Back home and pulling into our driveway, this strange and beautiful cat was sitting there waiting for us. she didn't even run from our car!

The moon was a perfect half at the end of a lovely day.

So glad you were able to get together with your family. Looks like everyone was having a good time. I laughed when I saw the picture of Vivian sitting next to Phil looking up at him in hopes of getting a treat or maybe some ear scritches :)

Oh lovely!!!!! I'm sure it was a really wonderful day!!!

We have been lucky, as we have not been separated. Our son and daughter in law, and grands next door, have been around. As has our other son and his wife. We have not gathered indoors, for Holidays, as we would usually do. But basically, we have been seeing each other. Carefully. -smile-

Happy Birthday to the two of them!!!!!

Call a local rescue group so they can set a humane trap for that kitty, Ginny. She needs to be rescued and out of the elements.

I AM SOOOOOOO INCREDIBLY HAPPY FOR YOU regarding your family gathering!! It is more-than-time, isn't it. Hurray!! Get together at least twice a month now, since summer is here. Enjoy hugging and squeezing those kids and grands.

Hurrrraaaaayyyyyyy!!!!!!!!

Ginny this post made my heart so glad. What darling girls your granddaughters are! That smile on Dara's face! Just megawatt! Summer days are so precious, especially when they are spent with those you love more than your own life. I also love that quote by Eleanor Roosevelt and have quoted it often -- today you are both as old and as young as you will ever be. Enjoy it! Our life is but a vapor. xoxo
