The Angels

Just a few blocks away from home, we drove by this today.

The Angels. There were so many that they turned the corner and continued around the block. They were in front of what used to be the Catholic Church, but is now The Applacian Christian School.

Some of them had halos, and some did not. It was a mystery.

Fortunately, a couple people were out standing by the door, and we asked them. Each angel is a student at the school and their family. The ones with halos were in memoriam for those family members who had passed away. I'm glad there weren't very many with halos.

“For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment.”

Colossians 1

What a wonderful thing to do. I kind of wondered if the halos had something to do with a person passing. What a sight to see all those angels around the building.

Hi, angels can represent 'messengers' in the scriptures, so it is good if the children are being taught to be messengers of Jesus. Looks very pretty.

when you said the angels went around the building i thought i hope they are not all representing people who have passed away.. usually that is what it means. glad there are only a few with halos. that repsents a lot of work just cutting them out and painting, putting them togeher and installing.. good idea

What a tender display for this time of year.
I do believe there are angels around us too.
You do find the most interesting things to post in your town.
Enjoy your day.

Lovely white wooden angels. That's nice that they represent each student at the school and their family. Yes, God holds it all together right up to this very moment.

Have a merry December week, Ginny.

This is a wonderful display. I wonder who made them? A parent, teacher? Whoever was, it is a great idea for holding the candles.
