They are building a Popeye's in town, and are almost done. I remember all the hoopla there was when they introduced their new chicken sandwich. But we have never eaten there.
So my question to you is: Have you ever eaten anything from Popeye's? How did it taste? Should we go when it opens?
Speaking of fried chicken, have you heard anything about these Fried Chicken flavored Oreos? Would you try them?

No, I've never seen a Popeye's. And I think I'll skip the Oreos. π
I've seen Popeye's commercials but we don't have any around here. I'm a chicken lover so I would probably want to try them out at least once.
I'll pass on the fried chicken Oreos.
No, I have not tasted Popeye's chicken. I am not even sure whether we have it here. Fried chicken oreos? I might try if I can find it. Lol!
No, have never eaten at Popeye's and probably wouldn't. Don't know if we have them here, but about the only fast food place we go to once in a blue moon is Wendy's and that's if we're in a huge hurry. Chicken isn't high on my list of foods, but eat it because trying to cut back on good meat...you know, red meat, lol. I don't eat much of anything fried. The oreo's sound disgusting to me. I've always wondered why the name...we all know Popeye ate Spinach, not chicken.
I love the last comment of Sandy's...'we all know Popeye ate Spinach, not chicken.' LOL
I have never eaten there but have heard some that like it. Yuck to the oreos.
We have a Popeye's and I love their fried chicken and sides. But their food is definitely not diabetic friendly so Hubby and I rarely indulge. I stick with the chicken and Cole slaw when we do.
We do have a Popeyes in our area but have never eaten there.
Chicken flavored Oreos...I think NOT...those flavors definitely don't go together in my mind.

I've never had Popeye's, but I do like Kentucky Fried Chicken. Fried Chicken Oreos doesn't sound good though.
No Popeyes around where I live now but I've been to them years ago. Just like a KFC.
We have 2 Popeyes in our town and I have been to them a few times. WE like their chicken. They use that cajun seasoning but they also sell it without so it's not too spicy. I love the Cajon seasonings on my chicken and their Cajon french fries which a very good. (Cajon rice, red beans, and rice) I haven't been there in a couple of years though - with covid, lockdowns, and now just the extra expense - I'd rather spend it elsewhere. But for a fast-food quickie when you don't have to cook, we've always had a decent meal. Oh, my husband likes their Cajon fish, and the popcorn shrimp.
I have had Popeyes but it has been so many years ago, I don't remember much about it ... BUT I know it's good and yes I think you and Phil should go. NO I would not try a fried chicken Oreo! Gross! Who comes up with stuff like that? Haaahahaha xoxo p.s. I sent the little joke to Dagny! She is trying to learn clever jokes to tell.
We have not eaten at a Popeyes in years. There aren’t any close by and I have never seen those cookies before. I wonder if they are a popular seller?
I LOVE POPEYES! They used to have one in the town I grew up in, and I would drive through from time to time. I would always get the fried chicken, jambalaya beans and rice, and biscuits. Everything was always DELCIIOUS. I really miss eating there. I'm glad you have one opening up in your town.

*I'm not sure about those fried chicken Oreos. Doesn't sound appealing to me. Let me know if you try them. You can't go wrong with Oreos. ; )
It is a fun place to eat.
We had a Popeye's open here a few months ago - and the lines where absurd - we tried it later on - and it really wasn't all that great.
Those Oreos sound yuck to me, but someone must like them or they probably wouldn't make them.
I like the other Sandy's comment--"I've always wondered why the name...we all know Popeye ate Spinach, not chicken."
