Today as we drove home, the geese were waiting to cross the street.
Only about a week ago, they had teenage babies, which looked like this.
I guess they must all be grown now, and somewhere in the crowd.
Pulling into the driveway, I noticed a pretty Cardinal on our neighbor's feeder.
She has a real pretty flag hanging out front. The center of the big pink flower has a real jewel in it. I need to ask her where she gets them.
And right by the back door, I saw our first Daylily!

What pretty sights you came across, especially the geese family. One time, I saw a flock of turkeys crossing the road too... too bad I did not manage to pull out my camera in time!
Oh how wonderful! Beautiful photos Ginny :)
Awwww... what pretty signs of summer in your area, Ginny. I also love the poem about the cardinal! They're so pretty, aren't they? You know what they say about a cardinal... when you see one, someone from heaven is visiting you. I wonder who your visitor was? ~Andrea xoxo
Wonderful pictures of the geese. Cardinals have always been my favorite bird. I just love their color. My daughter was telling me she gets a lot of them at her bird feeders.
That flag is really pretty and unique.
You sure got a lot of blog fodder forvone trip...and all of it great stuff.
did you advise the geese they are standing on private property??? the juveniles are so cute, it is that time of the year for babies from critters and to birds, even insects. that is a beautiful flag, you could pretend you are Ann and get jewls at the dollar tree and put them on a flag you already have.. they have some beautiful ones like what ann is doing diamond painting with
The geese and their babies taking a walk is fun to see. Beautiful cardinal. Pretty floral flag. Your lily is gorgeous. Happy weekend.
Delightful...
Ducks and babies wander around in our city too. :-)
Do you live in a condo, like those pictured? Somehow I thought you lived in a separate house...

I love the flag with the jewel! I wonder if maybe she put it on herself? That is a good idea.
My computer broke in our move and I have lost everything. I had it repaired and they got some things back, but not all. Just wanted you to know.
You definitely have some very beautiful sights in your neighborhood.
What fun!
It is my dream to see the red cardinal. So glad you saw one on your neighbor's feeder. He's such a handsome fellow. I like the advice from the cardinal. Sounds like good advice. What a wonderful sight to see all those geese crossing the street. It seems they always come in groups and are protective of their family. : )
