Many decades ago, I grew a few Coleus indoors. They lasted many years and grew huge. That was when we lived in another place. I recently decided to try them again, and got four small ones for about two dollars each.
This variety is called Wizard, and they don't grow very large. I think they should be called Colors instead of Coleus!

They are beautiful. I don't see them at nurseries much anymore. My parents grew them every year when I was young.
I've always loved the different colors they come in. I think my favorite are the ones on the far left in your first picture. Will these all be indoor plants?
Those are very pretty plants.
THE PERFECT way to have colors and not have to wait on blooms for colors. they are gorgeous. I lean towards number 3 as my favorite
Oh how pretty, Ginny! I never thought of growing coleus inside. Your home is so beautiful! ~Andrea xoxo
Back in the 70's I used to have hundreds of houseplants and coleus were my favorites. Then I had babies...the houseplants, s l o w l y died out.
Now I have a cat who likes to eat my plants, even the fake ones. I've always loved coleus - so many varieties.

You know, I never thought of growing Coleus inside. A splash of color all the time.
I love the quote about the low hymn to nature.
They are so pretty and I love all the colors they come in.
Look at the PINK on that one plant.....so pretty. The price was good too. I'm not really an inside plant person, but I do love a good plant outdoors. I hope your plants thrive and last for a long time, Ginny.

I bought several coleus for the back yard and I am loving the pretty colors! Maybe I can winter some of them inside this year....
Lovely pictures. Agree with James Ellis. The sound of nature is so soothing (if one has the time to pause and listen to it)
We have several coleus plants. I love their colors!
I am a huge fan of coleus too. I think they are beautiful.
:-)
Pretty colors.
I never knew they could be grown indoors. They look as though they are happy.
