The answer to my plant post from yesterday is a Philodendron Birkin. I would never have known this is any kind of Philodendron, but Hootin' Annie, MadSnapper, and Photowannabe got the name right! Very clever of them! I have no clue how on earth they knew this, as it looks nothing like any Philodendron I have ever seen!
It is made by cross-breeding two different Philodendron types. And it does not trail, it stands upright by itself and will get up to three feet tall. Mine already has a bunch of new leaves, they start rolled up, then unfurl.

It doesn't vine? I bet it will be stunning when it's adapted to your environment.
Interesting. I never would have thought philodendron either.
Your plant is beautiful! I love plants, but I had no idea what her name was, either!
Have a blessed weekend!
:)
I knew because Florida is full of phildendrom, it grows like weed here and just within sight of our back yard is at least 5 or 6 different types. there are at least 20 that grow down here. most of them vine, this one has beautiful lines
Oh Yes, I've heard of the Philodendron plant. We have bright blog friends who always help us identify things. I'm glad you had a few that could help you figure it out, Ginny. Have a blessed weekend.

Really love the lines and colors on this one. I'm looking forward to seeing its growth and the leaves unfurling.

There are some very knowledgable people in blogland. :)
Very pretty leaves.
That's very interesting, and it sounds like you are getting a lot of enjoyment out of it. Thanks to you and our blogging friends, I learned something new today. Thanks Ginny!
Hey girl - I got it half right!
Ginny, we always have our AC set at 80*. then we use portable fans to stir the air.
Its tolerable.... hate to see what our electric bill will be this month.
