We went out this evening and tried to snap The Full Wolf Moon. But it was just too cloudy, and these are the only shots I got.
But a happy surprise on the way home. About a block away, in the dark, I spotted these changing lights in the upstairs window of a house. So We pulled over and I snapped.

Oh those are beautiful pictures of the moon! It was so pretty as I drove home from work the other night. I wanted to stop for pictures but I couldn't find a good vantage point and by the time I got home the clouds had covered most of it up.
I would love to try my night mode on my new cell phone on those colored lights. but i have to be close, not from the car. I tried that. they are so pretty and I prefer these moon shots over the big round super clear shots. these are beautiful to me. the past few nights, at 3 am the wolf moon is straight up over our back yard, i take beau out and do not need a flashlight. it is like a giant shining flashlight aimed down at us. and when we walk it is off to the west and HUGE in the sky

Wolf moon gives me scary thoughts. lol. Although it was cloudy, these are really pretty photos. Deep depth of color. glad you posted them even if the photos were not as clear as you wanted them to be. Have a great weekend Ginny.

The full moon was gorgeous but I failed to capture it on my camera..
then the clouds moved in and that took care of that!

Those moon shots looked really good, Ginny, and I have never tried to do any myself so always admire the captures that others have made. The colored lights were definitely worth stopping for to get interesting images.
