Our Lawn

I always look forward to the Dandelions. They look like spots of sunshine in the yard after a dreary winter. We have quite a lot.

I found these with bees on them.

But what's this?

See this tiny blue flower? Here it is in comparison to my shoe.

It is called Speedwell. It has about 500 different species! And is so cute, and are all over our yard.

I've always loved dandelions too. My yard will be covered in them soon. Love the little blue flowers. I'm pretty sure I've seen those before.

It's lovely to see the dandelions brightening up your yard, especially with the bees buzzing around them! And how delightful to discover the tiny blue Speedwell flowers - they're such charming little blooms. It must be wonderful to have them scattered throughout your yard, adding bursts of color and cheerfulness. Thanks for sharing these delightful snapshots of spring!

I love the yellow this time of year. I also love the shot with a bit of shoe in it. That's fun. It captures story. Wishing you a sunny day. Cheers, Ivy.

This is so funny. The last blog I looked at had the same theme.
Some weeds are very pretty, but I still don't like them taking over my flower bed! :)

So that's where the bees are... ;)
We call the blue ones Veronica. (I had to look it up, but remembered the name when I saw it.)

So are the Speedwell's weeds? They sure are pretty and they go well with the dandelions and bees! You have an interesting yard. Don't get stung!

We have too many "WISHES" in our backyard. Definitely turning into Weeds...
We do also have 2 huge patches of those tiny blue flowers in the backyard. I do think they are pretty but I think they are choking out the grass.
They sure are tiny..

Oh, the yellow wildflowers are so cheerful when they come around in Spring. I have quiet a few on my lawn too, and one just turned into a dandelion. That quote is so true, I believe that too!

Have a good Spring week, Ginny.

**Ginny, no, those aren't my tulips. They were in the parking lot of Safeway, and I always have to stop for red flowers. : )

We have lots of dandelions and those little blue flowers in my courtyard as well.
Love the picture with the bee. Great shot.

I have always liked dandelions! When I was little, I remember picking dandelions that were as big as saucers, and they had the sweetest smell! I can still smell it in my memory. But I have never seen them again that big and that sweet-smelling, and I wonder if I imagined it, haha! xoxo
