Julyween

Last month, I saw these unusual Halloween decorations in stores. In July! I do not celebrate Halloween, but I do celebrate fall. I do give out candy to the kids, but that's about it. I'm kinda about the light, not the dark. But for those of you who do, have fun with it!

This was one hundred and fifty dollars! And it wasn't even very big, it would sit on a bookcase shelf.

This one is by Martha Stewart, and costs a lot less.

These are unusual and creative!

I liked this. It is by the fashion designer Christian Siriano.

Glittery gentlemen skulls.

And these huge round flower balls. Don't know how they fit in with the rest!

I like skeletons and skulls when they are funny but not when they're creepy or scary. I do not do anything for Halloween but like you and like most people, I love the fall of the year. Those flower balls are awe-inspiring! xoxo

I used to decorate for Halloween but now pretty much just fall. I might put out a couple of Halloween things but that's it.
I like those pumpkins in the 5th picture. That's a crazy price for those skeletons.

the only one I like is the pumpkins. my son Dan would want every one and if he could have only one it would be the first one. he has a collection of skeletons, and many collections of all kinds of things. very interesting..

I am just like you - I give out candy, and decorate for Fall. Not a fan of the spooky stuff. $150!!! Wow, that's too much for me. :)

I am exactly like you - I like the light. I do or did give out candy - no kids where we are now. I can't believe the decorations are out already - but I am surprised those skeletons are $150! Out of my price range for sure. sandie

It seems Halloween is getting to be a BIG holiday to celebrate.

Those are cute flower balls. Not sure where I would put one, but I know a decorator would have the perfect spot. Now days, there is so much emphasis on the skeletons as Fall decorations. My neighbor down the road has a 12 foot skeleton that he leaves out in his yard all year long. He just decorates it for all seasons. lol.

You took a great variety of decorations Ginny. I enjoyed looking through them.

We don't even give out candy. No kids around - too remote.

I don't celebrate the scarier parts of Halloween. I love the jack-o-lanterns, the children in costumes, and giving out candy (though we don't get any trick-or-treaters anymore). I live next to Salem, MA, which is an absolute horror show at that time of year. Like you, I love celebrating Autumn. It's such a pretty time of year.

Oh Ginny, I just want to give you a big hug. I'm all about the light too. For some reason, I don't mind the skeletons, as we all perish at some point, and I think my three skeletons is one of the few decorations I have kept. Those three pumpkins are cool.
