The Fountain Of Life

This is the new Disney fountain in Anaheim, California. No, I did not go there myself and see it, but I took these pictures from my T.V. screen because they amazed and excited me so much. I had never seen anything like it. It combines water, fountains, and lasers. It has a movie screen made of water, showing 3-D images. How? They take many droplets of water, infuse them into the air, and shoot laser images onto them. So the images you see are actually projected onto the screen of water drops. The screen is 385 feet wide, and capable of producing 100,000 digital images. Twelve hundred programmable fountains can shoot two hundred feet into the air. The grid of fountains is over one acre big. This amazing fountain was five years in the making. It also is controlled by one of the largest computer show systems ever built. The computers control over 18,000 different actions in the show. They have a 25 minute show every night. It's a pretty thing to the eyes, but not as exquisite as the rainbow and sunset that I posted yesterday. For alas, it is only man made, it can never be a fountain of life.

Oh Lord, you preserve both man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings...For with you is the fountain of life...

Wow---what a sight to behold.... That is incredible. I haven't heard about it or read anything about it... SO--thanks for showing it to us... That is NEAT!!!!

I think I like your header better than any you have done. It looks so good with your blog background (hummers)... The colors are perfect together.

Hugs,
Betsy

They are always coming up with such fabulous things. I remember when the light boat show down at Disney World was the big thing.

My friend gets to go there and see this live - she loves it - it looks amazing!!

Your new header is dazzling! Love it! I'd love to see the amazing fountain, but I agree that it pales in comparison to the real fountain of life!

Another piece of Scripture fluttered through my mind as I saw this... "If... they have begun to do this, nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them". Hm. Genesis 11, Tower of Babel... And still this fountain will not even be able to quench the thirst for entertainment!

My son had been complaining that his sisters went to Disney land, and he didn't.

Your photos are so beautiful, and reminded me of our visit so long ago, my second daughter was 5, and now she's 22.

those are spectacular pictures even if they were just taken from the TV set. i wanted to watch such show too. my in-laws go to Vegas very often and they said that they like the dancing fountain there. it's kinda like the ones you have here.

have a wonderful weekend dear.

Fantastic what man can do when he thinks "outside the box"! Computers controlling water fountains - Mmmmm. Amazing results! Still, as you pointed out, they'll never out-perform God our Creator who gave us a fountain of Life.

Mind boggling, the things they can create now. I would love to see this in real life. the photos come out so good, i thought you were there. i love the header and it got a Yowsa! from me when it opened. i thought it was a shower curtain with lights behind it and you had gone technicolor in your bathroom. love the light show

Absolutely beautiful... The colors and the joy that water can provide is so amazing.. We have a similar garden in southern India which also combines water, fountains, laser...but it also has music to which the waters dance away rhythmically! Absolutely stunning...

This is certainly a spectacular sight, and I would go see it in person if I had the chance, but,it is nothing to the light show that the Creator of heaven and earth puts on for us regularly. Thanks for sharing this man made beauty,I must do a Google search and find out more about it.
Blessings,Ruth

If God has already blessed folks here on earth with such creativity and skill, how much more beautiful will heaven be - which He has personally prepared for those who love Him! What a great post! Love your new header too! Very interesting photo!

Your photos are just gorgeous. I never cease to be amazed at what you are able to capture with your camera lens. Re: The barbecure sauce can be kept for up to a month in the refrigerator. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary.

Amen to that.
I want to go so badly to DL and see this too. We were suppose to go for our anniversary but due to finances beyond our control it will probably be next anniversary. 2 years since we have been. For us Disneyphiles that is much too long.
Glad I know when my Fountain of life really is.
