Angels Among Us

No three wise man here, but three angels. And they are not Charlie's Angels, they are Ginny's Angels! O.K., enough with the word play. I made these angels over six years ago. I made them out of card stock cardboard, which I then decorated with markers and colored pencils, and added some adornments like buttons, ribbons, and hair. I thought they turned out well, although they don't seem to look quite right anywhere in the house. So here they perch on a high kitchen shelf for now, looking down on me as I slip, spill, cut, and burn. I have posted them as part of a month long Christmas link up on creative seasonal items over at RACHEL COTTERILL'S blog. She has a lovely blog, do drop in if you have the time. I happen to believe that there are real angels watching us, and not just in the kitchen. And God also uses us to be his angels here on earth. So when you open your door to visitors this holiday season, be sure to be very inviting, you never know who they may really be.

"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:2

Curious to know who entertained angels and how it happened?

Read Genesis 18:1 - Judges 6:11 - Judges 13:2

The angels are very sweet. We have one very similar but it is not a Ginny's angel (of course!) Wonderful verse you have shared today Ginny. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

From your description of your activities in the kitchen, it seems those angels are just in the right place to watch over you (haha)...

Your angels are adorable Ginny, I would have thought you purchased them. I have to agree with Dawn's comment, they seem to have their hands full just keeping an eye on you in the kitchen!

I couldn't help laughing as I read about your activities in the kitchen. I thought only I was Calamity Jane;))
Your angels are pretty! I'll check out the link to see other decorations.

About your comment on my blog, I'm sorry the pics of the bulbuls are blurry. I'll try to post better bulbul photos in future. Bulbuls are birds that are commonly seen in gardens here.

These are so cute, Ginny. They look brand new, not six years old. You take very good care of them.

They are adorable. I have a few Angels around the house that I collected along the way. One can never have too many Angels, right? Many of them come even in human and animal form ;-)

Have a blessed holiday season!

What sweet little angels.

they are beautiful, sister mine and now we have one more thing we are NOT alike in. I have no talent at all with crafts and just the thought of making something like this is enough to make me run screaming from the house. I shudder when I walk through Michaels to get to the picture frames. the only craft i like is photograpy and blogs and photoshop. these 3 I love. I did 40 years ago spend a week making home made ornaments for a small tree that my two kids and i made that is the LAST time i worked on a craft. these are really really cute.

These are adorable little Ginny angels! And I love your verse - don't do too much in the way of formal entertaining, but folks are so welcome to drop by! Mostly nowadays it's just going out for coffee somewhere and just chat! Angels unaware everywhere!

Hi Ginny, What a nice craft for your to have made! I like 'em. Yes, people in history have entertained Angels. Great Scripture as usual. Fitting topic, too, for the coming season.

So sweet. I love the hand-crafted ornaments best. Especially those that get to stay out all year.

They are adorable and look very professional too... I would have thought you bought them! I still have and put on the tree, some salt dough ornaments... but I have to put them a bit higher since Daisy can seem to smell the salt and would love to lick them.

Cute angels, Ginny... As you know, I love angels --and have some which look a little like the ones you made... You are so creative... Don't think "I" made any of mine... Others knew how much I love angels --so I've been blessed with angel gifts all through the years....

Hi Ginny I found your site through Melanie, I love those angel's. I have a pattern book to make those with card stock. I am a total arts and crafts fan. I just made two beaded book-thongs with angels on them. People really like angel things. Have a wonderful day! Hugs

Ginny's Angels are way better than Charlie's Angels and they will never show their age :-)

I only entertained one in my life and I married her :-)

Such adorable angels! They'd look good anywhere... Hebrews 13:2 always gives me chill-bumps. It's so awesome. So true about the angels among us! Example: when I was training for my job I was just a meek, scared home-town girl having to travel to big and far away places. My church prayed for me. One day when I was trying to find my way to one of my training places, I stopped in a bank and asked a man standing in line, " do you know how to get to Route so-and-so. and he said, 'sure, I'm going there... you can follow me.' I knew he was an angel, because I was praying for God to help me. That's just one example. Angels are among us!

Can I juѕt say that after findіng Blogger:
Lеt Yоur Light Shine оn Pimсore, what a delight to uncoveг someone who finallу knοws what they're talking about when it comes to this. You truly realize how to bring a problem to light and make it important. A lot more people should look at this and see this perspective. It's surprising you're not more prevalent, because you most certainly possess the gift.
