A Bumble Snowman

Snowmen today, all kinds. Little Ella has been watching Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer a lot when she is here. It features The Abonimable Snowman, snapped from my T.V. screen in the first picture. It is very hard to pronounce abominable, even for adults. Ella calls him "A Bumble Snowman". It cracks me up and I try to get her to say it often. The second picture is also The Abominable Snowman. He resides on a local dentists office roof every winter, dangling a giant toothbrush from his hand. So this would make a child want to go to this dentist? I would think any kid would run screaming from the building!! In other late breaking mythological monster news, Bigfoot has been spotted here in Virginia!! Here are the two newspapers I snapped, not just our local paper, but it made a national paper, too! Billy Willard holds a plaster cast he made from a big footprint. The decal on his truck reads "Sasquatch Watch Of Virginia". Several local people have purportedly spotted a giant shaggy two footed creature galavanting around their wooded property. Perhaps he's trying to get to the dentist. Those huge toothbrushes are hard to come by.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea..." Psalm 46

Even though it is snowing up here it is not snowman making weather! Yours looks like fun! A bumble snowman - sounds so much friendlier and even cute!

Poor Bumble. Looks a bit hunted to me in all those pictures! ;)

Bumble snowman! Too cute. I forgot how funny kids could be trying to wrap their little mouths around an impossible word.

I love today's header. It looks like a tree is growing out of the snowman's head.

That would certainly be a tough one to pronounce..I agree, I should think they'd run out screaming too!! We never see anything odd like that here. Well I'm sure I'm missing out too! Hope you have a great weekend..I can't imagine where you too are going to get lost this time (heh heh)..

Bumble snowman is good, much easier to pronounce than abominable. Kids are so cute when they come up with other words.

Maybe you can get some shots of Billy Willard's sasquatch, I'll bet Billy could set up a photo session. We have had Big Foot sightings in our area, just a few miles from our house. Usually he was seen by hunters who might have taken a little too much beer on their hunting trip.

BTW, thanks for your comment on the cosmos. I think your photos of them were amazing Ginny, don't sell your photography skills short.

The bumble snowman is cute and dangling it on the roof of the dentist clinic might really coax children to go there happily!!
Have a wonderful day:)

What a cute post! Enjoy your weekend!

I always loved the line in Rudolph where Corny says that Bumbles bounce. The bumble at the dentists office makes sense since the misfit elf wanted to be a dentist and he was the one that pulled the abominable snowman's teeth. Is it obvious that I've seen Rudolph a few times?...lol

That abumblee-ble snowman needs a teeth-brush. You know the toothbrush was invented by a Tennessean, right? If it had been anyone else it would have been called a teeth brush. (☻) hahaha

I love how little kids say things...their version. It's one of my favorite stages of their lives. I know they need to learn how to speak well but I do love to hear what they think they're hearing. I'm with you on the dentist's idea of advertising.

I remember watching that movie.
That little Ella is just too adorable. I remember when Katie was that age. It was so precious. You never knew what she might say!
Fred's joke was cute. :)

I was just looking at the photo that I took of the abominable snowman at the dentist's office just yesterday, trying to think of some clever post. David drove by one day to show it to Ella and let me see it. I went by another day and took a picture of it.

Thanks for the "Ella-ism."

In our house, the Ella-ism would last so long the grand-kids would be hearing the cute story.

That dentist photo is a scary one for sure.

Ginny, I use to be afraid of the Bumble but goodness, he looks as cute as ever. Amazing what a change in perception offers, isn't it? Case in Point: God is my strength and my refuge; YES, but only if you allow Him to be!

It is hard to say - but I do know the show. He's cute.

Our snow was ice! Too hard to make anything.

Bumble sounds cute! As for the dentist's sign, who'd want to go there? Sounds so sweet when kids can't pronounce certain words...

That's a wild looking guy hanging on the entist office. I don't know if it would intice me into his office though. Great saying by Ella. Its always fun to come here and see how you fit your thoughts, photos and scripture together. I hope you put them in book form sometime.

This was a dear post save for the poor fool out there hunting for Sasquatch. Art Linkletter used to do a show called "Kids Say the Darndest Things" I loved it. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

Hi Ginny, I have a friend in the mountains of Oklahoma who believes in the creature... I am, however, a doubter. Oh well. That is such a cute photo of that snowman. My husband and I built our first snowman (a smaller one) last winter and oh did we work! Ha! Have a fabulous evening tonight and a super Sunday tomorrow!

Lots of snow here to make snowmen! Yours is really cool. We have people around here that claim to have seen Big Foot. Would be cool to get some pics of one....

I get a kick out of little kid's mispronouncing big words - it's so cute!

I just wanted to stop by and say hello ...I've not visited much. Been outside enjoying the cool weather and being able to breathe.

Wishing you a lovely and blessed weekend, my friend :-)

Your posts always make me smile - I love the idea that bigfoot might have come to get his toothbrush back :)

I like "The Bumble Snowman" better than "The Abominable Snowman" :-)

Ginny, I hope you have a great SONday :-)

I love that - Bumble snowman - so cute! That's a pretty awesome one on the dentist office. He doesn't look too scary... actually pretty sweet. I love the snowman on your header. Did you build that snowman with your granddaughter or with Ella? I love snowmen... none for us yet this year. Just a dusting here and there. Not complaining!!

I thought I recently heard "big foot" was in the northwest - he sure travels fast!!

A Bumble Snowman sounds pretty good to me. I trust you'll let us know if Sasquatch is in fact found in Virginia.
