Spellbound

"Don't cry when the sun is gone, because the tears won't let you see the stars."  ~ Violeta Parra

Come sit a spell with me (and you will be spellbound) and we'll watch the sunset together.  The sight was a black and orange beauty. And although it looks like a Halloween sunset, I snapped it on July 1st of last year.

“Joseph: "Blessed by God be his land: The best fresh dew from high heaven, and fountains springing from the depths; The best radiance streaming from the sun and the best the moon has to offer; Beauty pouring off the tops of the mountains and the best from the everlasting hills; The best of Earth's exuberant gifts, the smile of the Burning-Bush Dweller.”
Deuteronomy 33:13

Hi Again:

It was my birthday and the birthday of my three closest friends. We alternate playing hostess each year. Every one brought presents. It was so much fun. I wish you were here to give me a hug!!

It's snowing like crazy outside. I'm staying in.

Best,
Bonnie

Your sunset photos are breathtaking. I especially liked #1 and #4. We've been getting extra beautiful sunsets here too. I'm always reminded of the beauty of the Lords creations and how he created them to bring us joy!

Great photos, Ginny! Love the sunset colors too. Crying over anything only clouds the picture and makes it look worse than it really is.

Oh Ginny...wow, those are gorgeous photos! Glorious and praise to God! Nicholas use to say that God was a good artist (when he was ity-bity:) and I couldn't agree more!

I rarely see a sunset like this, Ginny. My house is just not positioned right to allow a view. The colors in your photo are so intense --God does beautiful work!

Hi Ginny, What a sunset! Looks more red than orange on my monitor, like the sky is on fire. You mentioned my post about dust that you are allergic, that is tough. Does Phil sweep and such for you? I see dust as a gift because I have a home that gets dusty, physically I can climb up and clean the chandy, etc etc. I am growing closer to HIM as I find gratitude in all things. LEARNING is the word here, lots of lessons each day. Blessings.

Hi Ginny, Thank you for those beautiful comments. Yes, you would love living here, each sunset is magnificient in its own way. Lots of times just before the blazing ball gets very close to the water(or what it always looks like, hehe) clouds will move in, especially during summer. Then I wait because while the horizon is clouded over, the glow lights up the sky above. Always reminds me of what Heaven must look like when you first see. I will post one of those tomorrow just for you my friend! Big hugs, hope you enjoyed your day today.
