Over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our grateful hymn of praise.

Today is Earth Day! And my first four pictures are artwork made by school kids. I find their images of earth both fragile and strong.
“God spoke: "Let us make human beings in our image,
make them reflecting our nature So they can be responsible for the fish in the
sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth." God created human beings;
he created them godlike, Reflecting God's nature. He created them male and
female. God blessed them: "Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge! Be responsible for
fish in the sea and birds in the air, for every living thing that moves on the
face of Earth."
Genesis 1

I love this post! The pictures are awesome! I was married on Earth day so yes today is my anniversary. 17 years and it feels like yesterday!
Blessings, Joanne
The pics are beautiful, especially considering they are all works by school kids. The 3rd and 4th ones, I loved most.
Have a wonderful sunday Ginny:)
What a wonderful way to celebrate Earth Day Ginny, I love this post. The artwork by the students is great. I would have thought the fourth one was by some famous artist.
Happy Earth Day!
The art works look really professional, I wouldn't have guessed they were school projects.
Kristel loves these type of globes. We even considered buying a globe bar.
Greetings,
Filip
Ginny, one of my favorite hymns growing up...so sweet and the photos are lovely! what a great tree trunk photo! You did a fantastic job of capturing beauty!
The Earth is beautiful. He is a good God:)
Fun! Pierce has my old globe from the 80s when I was a kid. We actually use it frequently, to look up places in books we read.
these artwork pieces are amazing. A great expression of earth day. Happy Earth Day
It is interesting to see how children perceive the earth.
those children are truly talented, just to even think of these creations is beyond my powers. i love the bowls created from globes and i think this is the bestest of all the earth day post, you found the perfect post material. amazing what the young people created. the verse is exactly right also.
Earth day? Hope our earth will continue to be preserved...
He's got the whole world in His hands comes to mind as I read this morning's post. I love that hymn and will probably hum it all day. Those child artists are very, very talented - just beautiful!!
The earth is equally strong and fragile...good for the kids to reflect that in their artwork.
Hi Ginny, Another outstanding post and especially nice for Earth Day yesterday! Hoping you have a wonderful day today and a nice coming week!
Hi Ginny,
Yet another amazing post. Thank you for shining your light.
Ginny, the globe as bowl is fabulous, love it!
Mt. Pilot...remember Andy Griffith of Mayberry? Remember he'd always talk about going to Mt. Pilot? Well, Pilot Mountain is very real and what Andy called Mt. Pilot. It's in NC, just off Rt. 77. Click on the name under the photo and it will take you to the town.
Happy Earth Day Ginny! Beautiful works of art! Beautiful and very appropriate verse for today!
A lovely post, Ginny, and amazing artwork. Hope you and Phil are enjoying this Sunday.
Happy Earth day. Wonderful art work.
Ginny, the kids' art is wonderful! Such creative minds!
You asked how I was able to photograph the mockingbird on the tractor steering wheel. This year the mockingbirds seem not to mind that we are nearby. Yesterday I enjoyed the warm sunshine and the antics of the mockingbirds, who were trying to build a nest under the tractor seat! Of course, that couldn't be, so my husband moved their twigs - and they quickly found another spot! Seems that they are attracted to the red!
I was able to capture the turtles on the log with my new long lens - then cropped it to bring it even closer.
Wonderful pictures and one of my favorite hymns.
The good Lord provides us with so much beauty in different forms. You seem to come up with the best.
I LOVE leaf anything. The globe is so cool.
That is some pretty amazing art work that you have shared.
...... and it is a great responsibility we have indeed! Beautiful photos, and very thought provoking!
I love your header picture - so pretty .
I can't believe those were student projects - they did pretty good.
And we do have to do something to help our planet - I agree,
Love, sandie

Oh, Ginny....this is such a perfect post for Earth Day. You've managed to capture the 'real' concept.
I celebrated earth day out in it ...rolling over the hills of the beautiful Ouachita Mountains in Eastern Oklahoma, and the lower hills of Gillham Arkansas....beautiful day it was ...we saw nature at her best!
Awesome shots you shared with us ....have a blessed Monday, Ginny....appreciate your friendship so much!
Ginny,
Belated Earth Day. Wonderful, creative art projects. Canvass with the tree really speaks to me as I have taken pictures similiar of the very large, very old oaks all around us here. You describe it perfectly, a blend of "fragil and strong" in the total effect of the projects. Like life. Blessings.
Awesome post! Hope you enjoyed Earth Day!
The 1/2 bowl globe is especially cool. Happy Earth Day!
These are gorgeous...I really like the earth on a pedestal
This is one of my Primary school hymns. Strange, they never leave you.
If you and Phil come here, I will take you to all the places I post about. You are extra special, because I alread know you so well.
Blogger is trouble again.
For the Beauty of the Earth....one of my very favorite hymns.
I especially like the globe bowl. Its so artistic and could command some big bucks, I think.
Thanks for a wonderful Earth Day post.
What a perfect sentiment for Earth Day. This was a wonderful post, Ginny. I hope all is well. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary
