I don't believe that thistles existed before Adam and Eve disobeyed,because of this bible verse:

We have them at the ranch! I haven't seen them lately so perhaps they are more abundant in the spring.....at least in Texas.
You capture thebeauty so well at all angles. I doubt they were sent to punish. It is our job to bemindful just like with roses.
