Dead Branches Prettyfied

A few days ago, we passed the back of this tree that looked dead. It was at the edge of a person's yard. But even though the branches were all bare, they used that as a backdrop for a pretty scene.

Trees are poems that earth writes upon the sky,
We fell them down and turn them into paper,
That we may record our emptiness.

~Khalil Gibran

Well isn't that clever. Certainly way easier than digging up a tree. I like the butterflies

What a neat (and clever) way to turn an eyesore into something beautiful.

I have a really beautiful dead grapefruit tree in my front yard but it never occurred to me to hang anything on it. We keep getting people asking at the door if they can cut it down people looking for work and they want to cut it down and the one guy that I said to it no I think it's a piece of art and I liked it there and he was totally shocked. I love dead trees almost as much as I like live trees

How pretty! I read a quote one time that said "No tree is truly 'dead'... as they always contain life." I thought about that quote when I read this post today, Ginny. Love, Andrea xoxo
