The Orchard

This weekend, we went to our local Peach Orchard, Chiles. A pretty country drive.
Past roads with names like these.

And here we are. Let's look around.

These little campers are really mustard & ketchup holders.

Honey dippers.

So what did YOU want to buy?

Peaches grow wild, and pigs can live in clover...
The spring begins before the winter's over....
The months between the cherries and the peaches
Are brimming cornucopias which spill
Fruits red and purple, somber-bloomed and black....

I noticed that a lot of those road signs say private. Are those roads that lead to different farms?
That looks like a wonderful shop. I think I'll buy a new coffee cup, some of those cute spatulas and some cherries.

Cherries. I'll never pass up sweet, dark cherries. And I'll come back for fresh peaches when it is peak season.

I would love that! I was at a peach orchard in Pennsylvania last summer and it is still a wonderful memory. By the way, can't find a way to ask for your address for the post card project. My email is cornwallst59@hotmail.com. Thanks!
