The Boxes

So many more people are ordering things online now, what with the virus. The lady next door has a delivery truck stop by every day. Every day, for months! Shall I get up the nerve to ask her what she is ordering? Hmmm, maybe those meals in a box. For the last month or so, we have passed this house a couple blocks away.

The boxes appeared about a month ago. What the...so what do you think? I think I will not knock on their door and ask. So what have YOU been ordering?

We buy a good fraction of our stuff from Amazon...the latest item is a replacement for our gazillion-year-old iron. Amazon actually had the same model, now we'll have to see if the quality is the same. Not that we will have that many years to test it. :)

I wonder why she is not getting rid of the boxes? I have to be honest - Amazon and I love each other.

if her porch is littered with boxes, what does the inside of her house look like y'wonder?

I too am curious about the boxes. Here we have people coming to collect unused boxes to recycle them. I would willing give them all away or keep those that I might want to use.

I wonder why they would keep the boxes stacked in the corner like that. I've heard of a lot of people ordering more online these past few months. I think I've only ordered one or two things.

I get most things online, even before pandemic, but not so much as to get boxes every day. Kitties are happy with all these boxes :-)

I have new neighbors that are like that too. They put up a huge mailbox and they get a daily mix of deliveries from Amazon, Fedex, and UPS. I'm so curious lol! Have a great day Ginny :)

There was a period of two weeks that we got a delivery from Amazon almost every day but it was things that we needed and also I would order for a five things at one time and then they would each come on a different day. But I am wondering why they're saving those boxes I do hope they're empty maybe they're trying to tempt somebody to try to steal them. I can't think of a reason to save the boxes unless maybe somebody's moving and they asked him to save boxes for them. Are boxes we break them down and put them in the recycle

We've managed to keep Amazon fairly busy so far this year.

Those boxes have been sitting on their porch for a month?! Oh my.... I'd call the police to do a welfare check, Ginny. Something's wrong. :-( We order nearly our entire "life" online but that's nothing new. I was using Walmart curbside pickup long before the virus was even dreamed of. But even I don't have deliveries everyday... except around Christmas... and then it's sometimes twice a day. :-) Love, Andrea xoxo

The last few things I’ve ordered.....candied Fruitcake mix, melatonin, a bee smoker, bee books,
I don’t order even every week but certainly a lot more often than before Covid!

We recycle our boxes. In fact the recycle truck was here earlier and we had two recycle carts filled to the brim. We recycle everything we can. I do order a lot on line but going to look for other options besides amazon. Their CEO's snarky attitude is getting to me. Plus all the politics! I just do not understand why people can not be quiet about their politics! I worked for the county govt. when I was young, right out of school, and we never talked about our political preferences. People are so hateful today and I do not have to shop with haters. But that is solely my own opinion. Our youngest son worked for amazon. It is all I will say.
Some folks put empty boxes out for wannabe thieves I Have heard. Nothing gets by my crew, the canine crew that is. I am here all day everyday. I like it too!
Hoping your week is a great one. HUGS across the miles XO

We recycle cardboard too. Or use it, to lay it on ground, where you want to stop weeds from growing.

I can't imagine what a mess this pile will be, if it gets wet!

Our neighbors get lots of boxes too. I can't afford to order that often. :)

Oh dear! I would never let boxes stack up on my porch, but I do get my fair share. I order so many things from Amazon -- the supplements I take, supplies for my pets, gifts, even clothing. I love it when I'm expecting a package, haaahaaha! Cheap (mostly) thrills. xoxo

The Peak

The house that grows tulips all over their front yard is now at it's peak. I posted it earlier this spring, but now it looks a lot bett...
