A Bit Overgrown

These are houses around our neighborhood. A bit overgrown may be an understatement.

In this one, you can't even see the house!

I wonder if it's a matter of time,or money. Or maybe they just want privacy.

Yeah! I can see that! I went to the grocery store today and passed two houses - side by side- and the front yards were full of debris from furniture to trash and everything in between! I should have taken a picture!

I personally like greenery around the yard ... But some of these needs a good manicure. I do know if houses are close together, dense shrubbery holds the noise down from loud neighbors.

They're all in need of gardener. I wouldn't mind the overgrown bushes but not up against the windows like some of these are. I want to be able to see out my windows.

I love the greenery but they could do with a good trim.

They could all use a good trimming for sure!

I agree that some of the greenery are overgrown and almost covered the houses. They do need a gardener to do some trimming.

We have many things growing in our yard, but I think most of these are a bit too much.

I love each one, Bob and I both love overgrown, we don't like trimmed and neat growth. I would happily live in the one that you can't see the house. usually by now our yard is overgown and we can't see neighbors or fences but drought has made the neigbors in sight. my second favorite is the banana trees. we have only one banana tree left. all the hibiscus trees died but one ornage and one pink and they are on the way out.

Yikes!!!! LOL I couldn't stand to have my view cut off, like that.

And it's not safe. Home safety sites say to trim bushes, and not let them cover windows. Because if they are this big, bad guys can hide behind them, and break a window, without anyone seeing them.

Interesting how your quotes work so well with your photos. I have to agree some of those houses do want their privacy don't they?

Love the quote..Wild is truly wild...
Some of those are way over grown..guess they love their privacy.
I do prefer neat and tidy enough to let the light in.

A little overgrown for sure! I always wonder why people let it go like that.

It's a bit much for me, but I can see my hubby would have liked it that way. He had a hard time cutting anything but grass.

Picture #2 & #7 are probably the least "offensive" to me. In fact, I rather like #2. Sunflowers come & go each season so picture #4 isn't so bad as those sunflowers will be gone come autumn... but still. I love to see growing things rather than concrete but there's a limit to it all, for sure. As least some pruning is in order and must be done once or twice yearly. ~Andrea xoxoxo

All of those houses would look so nice with neatly trimmed landscaping!

Too many bugs if all that greenery gets too close to the windows. Most everyone here has nice front yards but the rain really took a toll and it was barely this weekend before we could clean up the weeds that arrived magically with the rain. Thank goodness our plants are doing well now. I like the quote you have here too, Great photos!

Ugh I hate it when plants take over a house! We need light! xoxo
