Today in front of Lowes, the sun was shining on these large leaves. They were literally shimmering in the sun.
Green is the peculiar
garb of spring; Nature displays it at that season alone in freshness and vigor.
It is the symbol of youth, mirth, hope, gladness, tenderness, bountifulness,
and prosperity.

Looks like banana leaves to me, quite similar to them... Green is Soothing for the eyes...
They sure are a pretty color green. I was thinking they looked like banana leaves too.
Yes, to me too...banana leaves? Green is a favorite color of mine.
Or Bird of Paradise leaves perhaps? They look very similar to the banana plant. No matter what they are they are a beautiful shade of green, so pretty!

Now you know why that when the sun shines here which is everyday and It Shines on all the things in my backyard I keep taking photos of them although I have thousands of photos of the same thing because when the Sun hits those green leaves it is absolutely extraordinary and absolutely gorgeous
Pretty! I'm guessing Bird of Paradise. I have a few in my yard and these look exactly the same.
You did a beautiful job of capturing the light on the leaves.
The sun does magical things, doesn't it? Love these pictures, Ginny! ~Andrea xoxoxo
Gorgeous! Photo and blog look.
And you always give meaningful quotes. A job, in itself, my Dear!!!!
Gentle hugs,

Glad the sun is up. Even the plants love the sunlight.
Beautiful green! We don’t have banana trees at my Lowe’s this year.
Sunshine in my soul today
Love the gorgeous greenery, and I do especially like the color green..
Hope your day goes well.

I love the green grass, trees and plants as much as the flowers in the Spring!
I love all these bright green leaves. None of that where I live, so I really appreciate this post. Thank you.
These are beautiful. I would venture to say that most people would walk right by those leaves and never notice the beauty.
That quote captures well the hope that spring brings. Your ability to match thought-provoking quotes to excellent and interesting photos and situations is wonderful!
This post reminded me of one of my favorite poems in all the world. It's by Robert Frost:
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
