Riding With The Queen

As we came to a stop at a red light, I nticed that the Queen was in the car beside us. Yes... pearls, hat, and all! Good thing I had my camera handy.

Who would have ever thought she would visit our small town, and with no publicity?

Unfortunately, the car she was in was rather beat up, with a large dent and scratch. Oh well, she must have been travelling under cover. Still, how very improper!

"It's really splendid to imagine you are a queen. You have all the fun of it without any of the inconveniences and you can stop being a queen whenever you want to, which you couldn't in real life." ~Lucy Maud Montgomery

Well how impressive that she came to visit your town. Since there was no press coverage of her visit I'm assuming there were also no public appearances other than through the car window. :)
Were they perhaps visiting that gas station? I do see the word "Royal" just above the car.

Her Majesty looks very happy to be taking this ride. I wonder if the owners were British :).

That's so funny, Ginny. You always see the most interesting sights around town. What a delightful image of the Queen on the car window. : )

Have a wonderful week.

That is so funny. At a tea shop in Ridgeway, South Carolina, there is a life-size cutout of Queen Elizabeth II for ladies and their daughters to pose with after their Mother's Day tea, wearing their hats. One friend of mine did that, posing with "The Queen" and her own daughters, and put the picture on social media. Someone exclaimed how much she and the girls resembled Grandma, haaahahaaa! My friend said, ummm ... that's a cutout of the Queen of England. xoxo
