Mystery Bush

About a week ago, we were in a shopping center parking lot when I spied these flowers. There were many of these bushes all over the parking lot, and some were still in bloom! And lots of fall colored berries on them, too. But I don't have the foggiest idea what they are! Does anyone know?

The dry leaves are scattered beneath the naked bush... Where chaunted the linnet and warbled the thrush... How sad is the change!

Those are roses! They are wild roses or I call them beach roses. They smell so beautiful. The berries aren’t actually berries, but what is referred to as rose hips. Some people make a jelly out of them.

This is a pretty bush. There's nothing like a bush filled with white flowers. They do look like old roses to me. : )

Definitely Rose Hips so I would say they are maybe wood roses since they are single petals.
Beautiful.

I am intrigued because I've heard of rose hips but never knew the kind of plant they came from. This resembles a bush that grows (actually there are three of them) right outside our bedroom windows. I don't know if it's exactly the same and I'm too lazy to go and look, but I know they're covered with big white flowers. xoxo
