Awhile ago, the city of Staunton had a celebration for the opening of a new walking bridge. They called it Bridge Day. It was right by the railroad tracks where some beautiful old trains were. Here are some photos from that day. It was really raining when we got there.

a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away the ticket
and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.”

Love that first picture with the little girl in the puddle. She won't let a little rain stop her.
So are these old train cars being used for anything??
Always love your images with colour and unique designs
I love trains and these old cars are beautiful to me. I like that they are displaying and maybe using this as a business. the bridge is a super idea, we need a few of those here, bridges for walking over busy streets, i mean
I love it! The bridge is pretty and those old trains are so cool!
What gorgeous pictures! I know that rain is not ideal weather for taking pictures, but I love bright colors against gray light. Best of all is a fall shoot on a misty day! Enchanting. xoxo
I love all the photos but the building with the flowering bushes was beautiful!
Ginny, I really enjoyed your post today, as trains are special to me. My grandfather worked for the railroad in my hometown. The old trains shown here are colorful, and those red trees are beautiful. I like the quote too. Those engineers are very special, indeed.

I love those beautiful old trains! When I was a little girl, I would read the Box Car Children to my siblings and we longed to live in one!!
Great rustic old train cars and I love the way the kids in the first photo are enjoying the rain.
I also love that illustration of Corrie Ten Boom.
