The Answer

You guys are GOOD! About a half dozen of you guessed that my mystery photo is pig ears. Which they are. The first time I saw this bucket full for sale, it was heaping. The next week, it was down to only these few. So a lot of people are buying them. WHO is buying them, and how are they cooking them? Maybe they are giving them to their dogs? Have you ever eaten one, or would you? I would think they taste like shoe leather!

I understand the inventor of the bagpipes was inspired when he saw a man carrying an indignant, asthmatic pig under his arm. Unfortunately, the man-made sound never equalled the purity of the sound achieved by the pig.

No, I've never tried one and I don't care to either. I wouldn't give them to Gibbs either because he doesn't like that kind of stuff.

I knew because several of my canine blog friends love them, I see them on blogs chewing on them and have been going to try them for Beau. also one of FB friends shows her 5 dogs chewing them. I don't think they are for human consumption. be right back. OMW! here you go
They can be used as appetizers or the main dish. Boiled, stewed, grilled, smoked, pickled, or roasted, these can make a fabulous addition to your menu.gagging as I type

I've never seen those before, and would definitely not want to eat one.

The Alfred Hitchcock quote gave me a good chuckle.

Well I missed the post before this one but when I saw your header I was wondering what on earth that was. Now I know. - I've never eaten a pigs ear. My mom liked pickled pies feet (ewww). I'll stick to bacon.
