The Winter Things

Here are some of the things I put out for Christmas, some of which I have left out for the winter.

On the microwave

I'm leaving this on the table, as it isn't specifically Christmas.

I like them all. It's nice when you have decorations that can stay out past Christmas. I have some snowmen on my coffee table now that aren't Christmas ones.

the pink truck, the two pitchers of red berries are my favorite. all of these are great to keep out. if it makes you feel better, my little 18 inch tree is still shining brightly in the nook. and the two deer are still there. I sometimes leave the tree with lights, minus ornaments until Feb and once I left it til the end of Feb. I say if it makes us happy do it.

It all looks so pretty! I have this superstition that if I leave winter stuff out too long it prolongs winter! I'm sure to put it away buy the endo of February!

You have some adorable things there. Love the quote. So true and I think this is truly how we all want the illusion to look like. I love to decorate, and I do quite a bit, but I'm sure our lives are pretty boring to so many. have a great day.

So Ginny - are you sad to put things away for Christmas?

Yes, the kids live kind of close to us - a miracle - might not stay that way.

Thanks for commenting on my post after such a long absence.

We have left up the New England village and enjoy seeing it lit up every night when we're sitting in the living room. We didn't put up a lot of indoor decos this year, but the ones outside the apt have been changed over to winder snow folks and these will remain until spring. All of the ones you showed here are wintry enough for the season, Ginny.

Oh, these things are perfect for Winter, Ginny. I love those little houses, so cute. The trees with all the blue colors are delightful. And that little woodland scene on your table is wonderful. Goes well with your snowflake table cloth. So many cute things you have kept out for Winter, Ginny. Makes the cold days more warm and cozy.
