Yes, I walked among the dead for you, my awesome blog followers. That would be Purple Dead Nettle, also called Purple Dead Thistle. It is now everywhere! All over yards roadsides and fields.
Here, it almost looks like it as planted on the edges of the home's walkway. But it is considered an invasive weed.
Purple Dead Nettle is a member of the mint family. The
name “dead” means it is without the tingly, rash causing sting that many
nettles and thistles have.

last night while doing my evening poop patrol, I found a thistle I have never seen before, it has tiny pink flowers no open, will check them when it gets daylight, this might be what it is. I do like weeds and they are pretty and also flowers.
Weed or not, I like it. Very pretty.
I didn't know this is thistle until you post this in your blog. I often see this type of flower along the pavement walks.

I too think they are pretty. Too bad they have some bad qualities there.
I've seen that around but didn't know what was called. Pretty little flowers.
So it is invasive? I don't think I have seen or heard of this before. It really is pretty in the photos and it does look as if it were planted by the sidewalk. Thank you for capturing the pictures.

What beautiful flowers. I love the meaning of the thistle and I'm glad you posted the symbolism of it.
That is one pretty invasive weed. I like their soft pink color. I wouldn't mind those weeds in my yard haha.

I did not know that was what that was called....it is very invasive.
I don't think I've ever seen a thistle--or at least not a flowering one.
