It's 4 0"Clock Somewhere

We have a lot of these Four 0"Clock bushes in the back and side of our house. They got their name because they do not open till around that time, very late in the day. Each year I post them, so here are this years.

With the exception of the color, the flower of the 4o’clock remind me of the heavenly blue morning glories. Funny how one opens in the morning and the other in the afternoon!
They’re really pretty. Inquiring minds want to know - I wonder if the person that named it 4 o’clocks, sat there watching and timing it? Hmm, something to think about.

They're really pretty. I especially like the multi colored one. I've seen these before around here but I don't have any myself.

Ginny.....you nailed it with bringing bake sweet memories for me of my childhood days. My mom had four o' clocks planted all across the front of the house. We had so many hummingbirds as they love this particular flower. Sweet memories for me. Beautiful pictures.

How beautiful Ginny! They are really thriving and it’s very interesting how the blooms open up when they do.
