September 1st!

A new month to look at our calendar. Let's see, what do we have this month. Two doctor appointments, haircuts, cross country running for the girls, and a family reunion.

I don't like the painting for September! It has no fall colors and really doesn't even look like fall!

Now THIS looks like fall! Home Goods.

But on a lighter note, here is a pic of a page from our desk calendar.

"The windows are open, admitting the September breeze: a month that smells like notepaper and pencil shavings, autumn leaves and car oil. A month that smells like progress, like moving on."

You are quite a good artist! Fall colors can find itself on the painting.

I don’t need anymore Fall decorations. In fact as I start getting the Fall things out I will be purging.

Sounds like you have a busy month ahead of you. I agree that calendar picture isn't very fall looking. I sure like that display at Home Goods.

I like September but I like October even more. I don't have many Fall decorations, it's a good excuse to buy something :) cute funny from your desk calendar.

perhaps the calendar painter lives in Florida. alas, no open windows her at all this year, not even once. the heat was on in March and April went to AC .. the calendar is beautiful and I like the frame. I think our vet has become like this one, he has about quit and is still working, he is off more than on.

Good Labor Day Morning Ginny. I so enjoy going to Home Goods. They have some really neat decor there. Your calendar for September is on it's way to being full...Hope the girls do well with their cross country running...

Oh my goodness - your header from HomeGoods. I love that store. I am ready for fall - not to sure it is coming that soon here - but I can picture it with all those fall items!

I like the quote at the end of your post, it kind of fits my post yesterday as well. I think you (Americans) start your "halloween" kind of decorations way too early, though! ;-)

Ginny, I was just thinking the same thing on my calendar for September! Doesn't have any Fall colors, quite disappointing. Yes, Home Goods always has bright Fall colors around the season. Love that store. This September quote is wonderful. Was browsing through some quotes, and couldn't find any good ones. You always find the best ones.

I hope you have many pleasant September days.

I sure love the warm colors of Fall, but the temperature is going to be 102F today. Me thinks fall is still a ways off...
I will put my fall wreath on the front door in October and get out a few of my "fall-ish" things.
Right now the only thing fall is a candy dish full of Candy Corn.

I think it's a very pretty painting, even if it doesn't have fall colors.
