You may remember this house that I have posted before. They made planters from old tires, and paint them to match the seasons. In the spring, they are pink. Now they are yellow.
Passing them the other day, I noticed they had some cute fall decorations out.
And they had these tall flowers that, of course, match the tire planters. I have not seen flowers like them, do you know what they are?

I don't recognize those flowers, but they are pretty and those neighbors are so creative!
You have neat, and creative, neighbors. Amen to the quote!
No clue what the flowers are. I like how they decorated their yard for fall though
Google lens says Cleopatra canna Lily.. I love those tire cups. they need a tea pot made of tires and the whole yard looks so pretty..
Wonderful quote by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Yes, Home is the nicest word...These are neat yellow tea cups made of tire. Interesting. I love a decorated home...inside and out. Happy Wednesday Ginny
Nicely decorated house!
Those are very cute decorations and very imaginative too. Very clever! Thanks for asking me the question on the insect I photographed Ginny. I have answered your question on my blog.

I think that canna lily is correct; we get those in the fall too! I am always amazed by how "all out" your neighbors go for holiday decorating. With very few exceptions, no one in my neck of the woods does that! So imagine my surprise when the other day I walked outside and turned my head to the left and our catacorner neighbor had a huge dog skeleton planted in the yard! In fact I wasn't sure whether it was meant to be a horse or a dog; it was that large. But later they added a ten-foot human skeleton decoration beside the beast so I figure it's meant to be a dog. Hahaha! xoxo
I would say that the flower is a Canna too. They are such a lovely tall plant...perfect for the tire teacups. So clever.

I have always liked those tire teacups. So creative!
So creative.
I enjoyed seeing these photographs.
All the best Jan
Home is the nicest word. Let me say the decorations are wonderful and those cups are huge.
Everything looks nice. Clever idea with the tire tea cups.
First of all, I LOVE the Laura Ingalls Wilder quote, and I know exactly what episode that was from, it's a favorite of mine. I watch the re-runs haha. Those yellow tires are delightful. So cute that they made them look like a tea cup. And their orange Fall decorations go nicely with the yellow. I wonder if they will paint the tires a Fall color?

I continue to be amazed at how much work people in your area put into outdoor seasonal decorations...
I love what they do with the old tires.
Your neighbors are creative! Love that yellow! Have a great weekend.
