We were up on a hill when I noticed the trees under the mountains. They are grey bare trees. But the sunset made them look orange!
In fact, our Blue Ridge Mountains are really blue. But the sunset had made them orange as well!
And for those of you who were expecting an actual sunset; here you go.
“The mountains hold
the sun a moment longer, as if reluctant to let the day go.”

perfect quote!! I have photos of this orange happening to our pine tree that is gone now. the entire tree was painted orange just like your mountains.. Sun painting is my favorite painting
Gorgeous photos, Ginny. The Blue Ridge Mountains are simply beautiful even in the winter.
Wow, it really did turn everything orange. How cool. It's a really pretty sunset too
Yes, everything does look orange, like Fall. And such a pretty sunset!
You were at the right time to capture this. Breathtaking, Ginny
sweet quote Ginny. The colors are stunning and they have made the trees come to life during the winter.
Amazing sunset colours :)
Looks like Fall!
Interesting about the orange.
The last shot of the actual sunset is beautiful.

I love ❤️ the quote and your photos are absolutely stunning, Ginny.
Wonderful sunset photos, Ginny. That first one is something else. The sunset DOES make the trees look orange! You really get to experience these beautiful sunsets often. Have a good week ahead, Ginny.
You certainly took them at the right time of day. These are great, thanks Ginny!
