Stealing Time

Phil, that little clock on your wrist is so pretty and shiny...

I just had to slip it off and take a better look

Do you think it would fit me?

NO!! You can't have it back, it's mine now!

Uh-oh! Does anyone know how to tell time and read this thing?

Well, since no one has come after me, I guess I have a new watch!! Hee hee!

They say that you can't steal time, but these pictures prove that you can. I snapped them a couple years ago when sweet Ella was two. She just turned four today, and the time has indeed flown since she swiped Phil's watch on that cold winter day. Of course she had stolen our hearts long before she stole the watch. That day is seeming very far away now, as this toddler has become a beautiful girl. My birthday wish for her is all the watches and all the time in the world.
But I trust in you, O Lord; I say "You are my God." My times are in your hands..."
Psalm 31:14

Time waits for no one, as the saying goes and we cannot turn back time.. so whatever we want to do now, dont postpone..we might never find the time to do it later on.. :)
What cute captions you put on, Ginny!

Lovely post, Ginny.

And I do sometimes wish it was as easy to get lost time back as to get a watch back from a 2-year-old...

Hi Ginny,

Thanks for your interest in the Marae. I have added two photos in the post and have linked it to you as you have asked the question. Many new bloggers would probably be wondering too.

Kids. Ya' gotta love them. Same thing with me if I give my grand-daughter my necklace to wear in church instead of her yanking it off my neck. Then she thinks it's keepsies for her. :)

these photos totaly prove that quote that is in my header. photos are the pilot light of memories. i know these photos jogged a lot of fun times with sweet Ellas, she was beautiful then and still is. thanks for the trip back in time. you captured her perfectly. she is blessed to have you to care for her and you are blessed to be able to care for her and that blesses her parents and grandmother and aunt Sarah.

Sweet post. Isn't it great that we have such accessible photos? That two-year-old has slipped away but you can call her back whenever you want to.

Four is a lovely age...five is even better. Well, I just love kids of any age, really.
