There Are No Orphans Of God
There are no strangers
There are no outcasts
There are no orphans of God
So many fallen, but hallelujah
There are no orphans of God.
This is the story of our four year old granddaughter Anne Marie. Our son and daughter-in-law went to the other side of the world to get her. They rescued her from an orphanage, a sick and sad baby. Her only toys were a pair of spoons, and it took quite a while to get her to smile. The first three pictures show her while still in China. The rest of the pictures are what she has become with love and care. Our son and daughter-in-law are amazing parents full of patience, love, and common sense. To watch her blossom has been an amazing thing. My video is a georgous song called "There Are No Orphans Of God". Watch it if you have the time. If not, that's fine as well. There are so many orphans all over the world, and so many people who would love to rescue them, but are prevented by bureaucracy, red tape, and restrictions. Human lives should not be reduced to paperwork and rules. Fortunately we are freed from legalism with God, so there really are no orphans of God.
"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you."
John 14:18

Very pretty voice..strong too! I like this Ginny! Touching post..so sad- bureaucracy and red tape! I agree..just shows you the reality. Love the series of photos! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Anne Marie is so lucky to have been rescued by such a loving family. It would be wonderful is all orphans could be so fortunate.
Isn't it amazing what 'love' can accomplish? The very word can be a verb. She is so adorable and what a lucky little girl. So many over there that need parents like she has. Great video, also.
It's amazing what love can do-- from the sad sweet baby to the little girl bubbling over with joy and laughter. Anne Marie is beautiful! If only those babies could be immediately swept into loving arms instead of languishing in a lonely crib while all the red tape is worked through. Those smiles chould be on those little faces much sooner.
Best,
Bonnie
If this doesn't make you cry, not much will. What a beautiful story... and what a sad truth about the bureaucracy and red tape. You're granddaughter has the face of an angel and it's obvious that she is surrounded by love. How blessed you are to have her in your life and to have raised such a fine son. Give the beautiful Anne Marie a hug for me!
tears started to roll as i scrolled from screaming tears to smiling face, then i watched the video and read the words of the song and they still rolled. for all the orphans in China and all over the world that need happy smiles in their lives. Anne is blessed and so is your family by having her with you.
What a beautiful little girl she is. And so happy too. You can just see the joy radiating from her. Loved the song as well
That little girl is os precious and I am sure a blessing to all of you.Her smile is priceless.Praise God that even when we have no earthly parents anymore,we still have a heavenly Father.
Blessings,Ruth
Anne Marie certainly has blossomed since her parents first saw her. She is a very beautiful, happy child, but I expect you already know that.
this is the most beautiful post...there are no orphans with God. He loved this little girl and others like them....and heard their cry...and sent people like your family to rescue....In Jewish we say...to say one life is to save an entire nation.
That brings tears, Ginny. How blessed is Anne Marie and all the other precious little girls rescued from those orphanages.
See you Friday.
What a deeply touching story! So happy for you and your little grandangel! Such a lovely young lady singing. She has a strong voice and enunciates very clearly - all to the glory of God. Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Your pictures today tell a wonderful story, Ginny. She is a beautiful child.
I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
P.S. The marionberry has fewer seeds and is sweeter than a standard blackberry.
Hi Ginny, Wow! How wonderful! I am an adoptive mom myself - my husband and I adopted a five year old boy in Calif. many years ago (he's a grown man now). Your Granddaughter is beautiful!
Such cute, cute photos! Hope that you are keeping well,
Jane
It is very clear that LOVE has made a thriving, happy child out of Anne Marie. You all are so very blessed that the Lord brought you together. Mama was an orphan and I remember the Hospice Chaplain saying at her funeral, "She is no longer an orphan."
Oh my goodness glory, how this touched my heart! What a beautiful young woman and her voice is just amazing!!!
We have a young couple in our congregation who are workin' on the adoption of two children from Russia. They want to start with two and just decided to go for it. They too will be wonderful parents.
God bless you sweetie and have a stupendous weekend!
She is an absolutely beautiful child and the love she is shown now is shining in her eyes!! Love this post! A blessing!
She is so beautiful! And look at what smiles a little love brings! Great post!
Beautiful....just beautiful!
Wonderful story of LOVE, Ginny. I have another friend who did the same thing... It is such a blessing --both for the children and for the parents/families...
I am so proud of your son and daughter in law. Anne Marie is such an adorable child --and we can all tell just how happy she is these days...
God Bless all of them --and all of the children in orphanages waiting to be adopted.
Hugs,
Betsy
This is so touching!! Ginny, you should be very proud of your son and daughter in law.. they are amazing parents..
Anne, a precious creation of God, now lies in your house of love..
What a beautiful thing your son and daughter-in-law did & what a beautiful grand-daughter you have now!!! Her story and your words brought chills and tears for me!!
You are all amazing, loving 'children' of God, Ginny!!
Blessings & Many Hugs,
Coreen
Beautiful, Ginny ... my nephew and niece are from Korea.
Oh....touching Ginny...I helped build a foster home for street kids three years ago and I thank the people supporting it. Love what your family is doing! God's blessing be with you always!
When I saw the first picture I thought it was going to be a sad story. But the tears giving away to smiles...the pictures say it all. Your granddaughter is adorable and she's lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people.
Beautiful post, Ginny and I'd say you've all been lucky in finding each other!
Ginny, this post brought tears. And I loved the young lady's song. God has no orphans - and He has no grand-children! What an awesome thing that you and Phil taught your child these great values.
Beautiful voice and song, Ginny! I was sorry to read that you and your husband were ill for Thanksgiving -- I hope you are feeling better now. Your grand daughter is precious.
Your son made up some wonderful plates of food foe you! :) I do the same fro my Mom. She had Thanksgiving with us and I sent her home with a large platter of leftovers and then a couple days later I made turkey soup and she took home three quarts.
You know when both our parents die - we are orphans too in away - it's nice to know God is there for us! sandie
PS How rude of me - she is adorable and she looks so happy.
