Monday Meating

For the last several months, our butcher has been getting very creative with ground beef. I guess you could say he's kind of a meat sculptor. So now I always bring my camera to the grocery store with me. Here are some creations from Halloween and Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see what he does for Easter!

"On this mountain the Lord almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine-the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Soverign lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth." Isaiah 25

This is to funny for words :-). You can see the kitchen here. The first floor of our house is just one big room with the kitchen sitting between the living room and dining room.

Have a great day, Ginny. Blessings...Mary

Oh how funny, your butcher is very creative and has a great sense of humor. I wonder what he will do for Valentine's Day?

(lol)..this is hilarious! I'd make it a point to bring my camera too! I've never seen anyone do that..or at least that I can recall? Your header photo looks so yummy..but the photo of the ground pig face makes a connection I think I subconsciously try not to connect. The verse..a good one, yet don't you sometimes think about how we won't need to eat then..after all the trouble it cause us here? I guess we won't really miss it or be concerned like some other things I can think of?
(Oh, that was one of my Myna birds that got out this morning).

Tell him, he should be an artist instead of being a butcher.

I think I'll go vegetarian and choose those painted upside down fruit & veg arrangements you had recently... ;)

Okay - this does not help me WANT to eat meat!!! Though it is very funny!!! So cool that he can have fun like that at his job...

What a hoot--a butcher with a sense of humor and the talent to back it up. Of course, I don't think his "creations" will ever end up in a museum!!

Best,
Bonnie

Your butcher is pretty clever. I can't wait to see his Valentines heart or Easter Bunny!
I just read your beautiful pancy post. Your pictures are amazing.
I would love to move closer to the ocean, but not right now. It is not the right time to sell our house :( Otherwise, I would probably build up at my mothers.

Your butcher has a very creative imagination! I'm not sure I would have wanted to put that one sign on the meat though. Who wants to buy it when the suggestion is that it died from sickness! ☻

I'm glad you take your camera to the grocery store with you. These have to be the most innovative meat displays I've ever seen.

Hi Ginny, Talk about fun and funny! I think it is so nice that the Butcher is allowed to have free reign and decorate the meat case seasonally. Thanks for the unique views. Have a super day tomorrow!
