Welcome To Fall, Y'all!

I am declaring this week as the first week of Fall. I know the actual date is at least a month away, but we have had a cold snap and have been running the heat. These are some of the things I am seeing around town this week. Looks and feels like Fall to me! Halloween things abound in the stores and there is a nip in the air. Yep, definitely Fall! See you on Tuesday!

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to uproot...
A time to keep and a time to throw away...
A time to be silent and a time to speak...
A time for war and a time for peace."
Ecclesiastes 3

Happy Fall Ginny! Cold fronts never get down this far this early. Bummer, lol. I was amazed when I read your comment on my blog. Oh, I have been told the same things all my life too. (My beloved Dad, always understood me and loved me, he may have had a touch of high sensitive too) As a child I could never understand why people did not see the beauty I did in the world. I was called "Pollyanna" so often, I thought my mother "misnamed me", lol. Oh I see the horror, the ugliness too as I know you do, but to dwell on those things (I pray about them) can actually make me ill. Yes, I have smiled so many times over your posts/pics....thinking, "I feel the same". What a blessing to have you as my friend. Our hubby's even think alike too! Of all the names they could call us....amazing. Blessings.

It is certainly fall here on your blog Ginny. All the pretty pumpkins and flowers look like fall to me. I love your header shot and the last photo of that beautiful Gerbera daisy.

We are having a cool snap too this weekend but by mid week we will be back in the mid eighties.

We don't have so much of this kind of autumn decorations but some of the trees have begun to turn yellow now. We've had an awfully rainy week and I've not been feeling so well - in spite of staying in most of the week, I notice that I've fallen behind with my blog reading. Just been catching up with some of your last posts here.

Beautiful fall decor. Seasons come and go and that is the way I like it. I couldn't stand the heat of summer all year.

I love everything about the Fall. The first thing I always notice is that certain comforting nip in the air. And I love the colors of fall. So much so, that I painted my laundry room the most gorgeous burnt orange. I have had it for 6 years now and I am still not tired of the color.
Have a beautiful and blessed week my friend.

Hey, fall is when it happens for you. Same thing with spring here in steamy coastal Mississippi! If we wait til some gardening book written by a Vermonter tells us when to plant spring veggies, we won't have much of a harvest. Enjoyed your conclusive evidence of fall!

What can I say, there has been a definite change in the weather here.. a bit cooler but we still have the ceiling fan on low this morning- as Hawaii is experiencing its usual hot flashes (lol) I love Autumn..it's one of my favorite Season's (maybe because I was born around this time, hmm?). I know you'd mentioned something about my birthday which is on the 21st. Another year Ginny (sigh). Well my husband's niece/husband flew over for their honeymoon so we've been having a little family time. Wishing you an enjoyable Sunday.

That is one of my all time favorite verses in the Bible Ginny.

And yes it does look like fall. However we still have the air on!

If it is not the heat then it's the air and if not the air it's heart -right?

Lovely fall pictures. This is my favorite season of all!

Love, sandie

As much as I love summer, I do love the colors and all the decorations that come out in the fall. I would have to say that it's my second favorite season.
It's started to get cold here too but I refused to turn on the furnace just yet.

Just like being back home. I love Fall and it sure seems like it on your blog. I just love the first picture with the little scar crow guy stuck in the dried lotus. Your dashboard is just right out there with colour and Fall delightful bliss.
You have had your heat on already, up here in Canada where Y'all think we live in igloos (ha ha ha) we haven't put our heat on yet. Oh I hope that isn't an indication of the winter months ahead. Thanks for the reminder "A time to"
