A Fashion Statement

Why am I showing all these pictures of our granddaughter, Anne Marie? Well, they all have one thing in common. When she was about three, her mom let her pick out all her clothes for a week. She could choose the whole outfit, including all accessories. Anything that was in her closet, she could wear. And this is the outcome, day by day, all pictures taken by her mom. I think this is quite something else, a diary of a three year old's fashion sense. Some look like shabby chic, some like Annie Hall, some like a small homeless waif, and some look pretty good! I will mention that though she was wearing rain boots in some of these, it wasn't necessarily raining. It was a fashion statement. Here's another one.

"Now you're dressed in a new wardrobe. Every item of your new way of life is custom-made by the Creator, with his label on it. All the old fashions are now obsolete. Words like Jewish and non-Jewish, religious and irreligious, insider and outsider, uncivilized and uncouth, slave and free, mean nothing. From now on everyone is defined by Christ, everyone is included in Christ."
Colossians 3

I will not be visiting or commenting here on Thursday, because I will be gone most of the day and not near a computer. See you on Friday!

That's a great idea - let the child choose and that way they'll learn! She sure knows how to put outfits together!

It is quite interesting to see what a young girl will pick to wear. I know I have seen some pretty interesting outfits on my granddaughter. The face is still just as pretty.

I think maybe her fashion sense was pretty good. That's about the time Wellies were really popular and in all the magazines.

From the smiles it's easy to see Anne was proud of her choices and being a big girl. She is always adorable.

Ginny, Wolfgang did have a sister named Nannerl. She was quite a talented musician.

Three-year-olds are very clever...rain boots are the easiest footwear to get on your feet. Kids have such definite ideas of what they like. She's just beautiful!

Oh cute. She did love those boots for sure! With that sense of fashion at the age of three... What might the teen years be like!!!

Those guys in my life, I left Windsor via Detroit Airport in 1977. They came to see me off. I saw Ning and Wong once. I haven't seen Koh or Richard since that goodbye.

Now we are connecting again on Facebook.

Anne Marie is going to be a fashion plate. Already at 3 she has a very hip style. I agree with her mom. I did that with my girls and my girls do it more or less with their children. Your granddaughter is just such a charming young lady. I could scope her right up for a hug. Thank you for sharing all the very cute pictures. Lynn

I think Anne Marie has a keen sense of style, especially when her ensemble is topped off (or, should I say "bottomed off") with the charming rain boots!

Bonnie
