The Journey
"Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain."

Come take a trip with me along the Blue Ridge Mountains and up and over Afton Mountain. This was our journey yesterday as we set off to do a bit of Christmas shopping. There are not many other times or places where I have such a deep consciousness of God.

The colors are gorgeous Ginny. The drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the autumn are trips I still remember vividly. It is definitely awe inspiring. Enjoy your Sunday and Monday.
wow..they are awesome scenery! I wish I am there to admire these colors of the mountains!
Who but God could paint such beautiful scenes?I love the colour and seeing that you took these pictures from the vehicle makes me feel like I was along with you for the ride. Thanks.
I was just over that mountain! Lovely! Enjoy your day off.

I love "drive by shooting" like these. so pretty and nothing is better than natures art and colors. I am thinking you did NOT enjoy the trip over the mountain with all that traffic. you were very brave to snap all this with cars and TRUCKS zooming with you.
Beautiful fall photos Ginny. I hope you got some good deals on your shopping trip :-)
Take care and thanks for your recent comment on My Blog

The fall foliage is beautiful, Ginny! Looks like you had a lot of company on the highway, too. The trees I see out my window are mostly bare now. Winter is coming!

You still have quite a bit of autumn color on the mountain sides. These are beautiful pictures. That's a great picture of the moon as well.
Wahoo!! you got to see some mountains too, looks like the leaves are still going strong in your neck of the woods.
Lovely, lovely photos! We too dearly love the Blue Ridge Mountains and the glory of our great God that is displayed everywhere you look!

when my oldest siser was a teen, and chances were she would never go abroad, she looked at beautiful Fall photos, and then say, best it is very itchy to go to these places. Now she hs gone to Australia and New Zealand , we joke about these fall trees.
Those are absolutely gorgeous. I love to look at fall pictures... even if winter is coming. :)
