Who?

I have always loved owls, and have managed to amass quite a few things with their image. Here are a few of my latest. Aren't these mitts and scarf just adorable? Do you see the owls on the mitts, their eyes and feet? I also like that they will keep my hands warm while freeing my fingers to snap the camera! My friend Stephanie, at Hookin', Knittin & Livin' made them. She has a lovely blog that features the things she has made from time to time. Her sense of color is amazing! Then last night I couldn't resist this adorable owl timer. It was marked way down at an extended Black Friday sale. And finally, something I have had for awhile, my owl carving made from a tree trunk. See the tree rings on the top in the last picture? At night, I can hear the owls calling, but can never see them. They are asking who, who who??? Here's the most important WHO ever asked!

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Matthew 16

So many cute owls. Stephanie did a great job on the mittens and scarf, love the design. That little timer is adorable.

Ginny, be sure to come back to my Calphalon giveaway and leave one more comment saying you are a follower. That will give you an extra chance in the drawing.

I like owls too. That wood carving is wonderful. I did not notice the pattern on the mittens at first but now I do - very neat. Very good for photography, that kind of mittens!

Ginny, I love owls too!

I'm sorry to hear you're allergic to tomato seeds. Making alfredo sauce is easy to do. I never keep heavy whipping cream on hand, so I've found a way to make it that doesn't use that. In a skillet, combine 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese (the 1/3rd reduced fat is okay to use), 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup milk, and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. Cook until melted and smooth. If you like garlic, it's really tasty to saute a couple of minced cloves of garlic in the butter first, and then add the other ingredients. Enjoy it!

I had to go back and take another look to find the owls. That egg timer is so cute. Ginny, I've said this before, but I love how you always find the perfect verse.

I so envy people who have a talent with yarn and needles. I wasn't in the room when that skill was passed out :-). I loved your owls and the scripture you shared with us this morning. I hope you have a terrific day. Blessings...Mary

Thanks for the mention, Ginny. They look great on you. I used to have a small owl collection, too, when I was a Brownie leader. We were called Brown Owls and this was always a popular gift.

All of these owls are very neat. I guess the reason you are so wise is that you have so many owls around your house. Perhaps I need to find a few for me!

No wonder you are so "wise"!!

It took me a minute to see the owls on those gloves and scarf. Love the color.

Best,
Bonnie

Your little owls are so cute. There is nothing more lovely than hearing the hoot of an owl out in the distance. Something calming about it for me.

Ginny, I have written to my cousin. I was curious too, but the photo was too dark for me.

soon you will need the mittens. Here in Auckland, it is quite warm. I only need gloves about 10 days in a year.

Funny how people like owls. I've never cared one way or the other but, that being said, the artistry of the carved owl would have even lured me to possess it.
