A New Mother

A mother is a person who, seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.  ~Tenneva Jordan

Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.  ~Author Unknown

Swan watch is over! Mommy swan has had her babies and they were happily paddling around after her when I went to check today!! Matter of fact, it looks like she had them at least a week ago, I'm glad I got there in time to see them while they are still this cute. Their necks have already started to lengthen, just like mom's. And very soon, they will look just like her. The park authorities took last years babies away when they were grown, I wonder if the mom still remembers them?

"Can a mother forget the infant at her breast, walk away from the baby she bore? But even if mothers forget, I'd never forget you—never. Look, I've written your names on the backs of my hands.”
Isaiah 49

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! I am taking off the computer on Monday, so will see you on Tuesday!

The little ones are just adorable. The park here in town that has the aviary does that too when the baby ducks and geese get older. They sell them to other aviaries and breeding facilities. It helps to keep the population here from getting out of control.

Happy Mother's Day!

I had forgotten the verse from Isaiah 49. What a precious reminder to be written on the very hands of God.

How could anyone have called a swan an ugly duckling? Mother swan has gorgeous babies. Happy Mother's Day to you!

Happy Mother's Day, Ginny! The Swan's new babies are fascinating. Have a good rest tomorrow...looks like I'm resting much more the last few days but give me another month and I will swim back in here with a vengeance. ☺

Sweet...such a feeling of wonder I have right now as I viewed your momma swan and her brood of cygnets. What lovely familial scenes.

Oh, they are so stinkin' cute... and will one day be gracefully beautiful like their mom. I'm not sure if they remember their other babies or not... It would almost be more kind if they didn't.

Hope you have a wonderful week!! blessings ~ tanna
