Got Milk?

“I don't cry over spilt milk, but a fallen scoop of ice cream is enough to ruin my whole day.”
Terri Guillemets

This is the Richmond Dairy Apartments. It used to be The Richmond Dairy. I am glad that they did not renovate and remove the big bottles, what an extraordinary building! There is actually another milk bottle on the other side of the building, and I am sorry I missed it. You can see just a tiny bit of it in the header if you look over to the left side of the building. This photo session was quite fun! On my next post, I will show you another big building with a different giant object on it!

“Milk is for beginners, inexperienced in God's ways; solid food is for the mature, who have some practice in telling right from wrong.”
Hebrews 5

I am going to be busy all day today, and will not be able to be on the computer. So I will see you on Wednesday!

What an interesting building. I'm glad they converted it into apartments rather than tear it down. It would have been a shame to break those giant bottles. :)

Ginny,
The apt. building is lovely and I'd love to see it from the inside! I bet it is marvelous and unique.
The dog treats coupon caught my eye too but Hurricane is so finicky that I doubt he'd like them...and last, the skies over the Blue Ridge are gorgeous; definitely 'frameable' love them!
Enjoy your day out!

I, too, am glad that so many of these old buildings are being repurposed rather than torn down. I'm enjoying my tour of "oddities" with you.

Best,
Bonnie

I love this! I love the way you see the world Ginny. Such fun. Maybe the milk bottle on the other side was "lactose free", for hubby. I must say, giving directions to that apartment building would be a blast, who could miss those milk bottles? Yet, that is just my point, you do SEE, what so many others just pass by. Love your blog.

Hi Ginny, Interesting looking building for apartments. I am glad that they turned it into homes rather than tear it down. Good for the owner. Nice pictures. I so enjoy the variety you post. Have a good day tomorrow!

Now that is something I have never seen anything even similar! If you lived there, you could just tell everyone that you lived in the Milk Bottle apartments.

How well I remember Richmond Dairy delivering milk to our front door! We always got a gallon of milk and some cream at least twice a week.
