Sunset In The Blue Ridge Mountains

On our way home this evening.

"You have a saying that goes, 'Red sky at night, sailor's delight; red sky at morning, sailors take warning.' You find it easy enough to forecast the weather—why can't you read the signs of the times?"
Matthew 16

That is a gorgeous sunset. It looks like a painting. I suppose it actually is though and the artist would be none other than God himself

and those mountains are aptly named Blue Ridge, they do look blue and also beautiful. beautiful view for the ride home and you have a driver so you can click click click,

Love the purpleish scene. What's the little alien in the middle. Up north on the Navajo Reservation there are the Vermillion Cliffs that on some days driving towards them they look just this purple.

How beautiful! These photos reminded me of one of my all time favorite movie scenes. It's from an old Laurel and Hardy film where they do a little singing number about The Blue Ridge Mountains of Virgina. Maybe, you know it. If not you can watch it on You Tube. Great song and wonderful harmony. As for you're comment on my blog, Yes, we are blessed. There is nothing in this world better than being married to a good man. When Steve and I were first married, we thought we were so much in love, but as the years roll by we realize that we didn't even know how deep love can run. It's the going through all the valleys and mountains in life that build us stronger and when you can go through them together, love grows beyond any place you ever dreamed. Congratulations on 43 years. And by the way, you two make a beautiful couple too. Have a great day, Connie :)

Hi Ginny and Phil! Thanks so much for the beautiful pictures which depict the end of a long day. I feel badly that I have not been here reading (and commenting) but I do want to say how much all of your blogs inspire me. I'm doing really well - and have only one more chemo treatment to go (scheduled for the 20th) before I'm released from the doctor. THANK YOU so much for all the prayers you prayed. God is always good and keeps His words.
