Goodbye To Our Best Friend

All our knowledge merely helps us to die a more painful death than animals that know nothing.  ~Maurice Maeterlinc

In a flash, he was gone. So fast that we still cannot comprehend it. Our sweet little Cher has gone to Rainbow Bridge after a brave fight over the weekend. Little Cher, your huge questioning eyes in your tiny face, always staring so hard and long into our eyes, what were you thinking...it was almost like you were trying to comprehend what humans are. You stuck like glue to Phil, trotting alongside him, doing his bible studies with him, and even praying with him daily. You were much more than a cat to us, we already miss you terribly. Yet we cannot ever let you know. Your litter mate Sunny walks around and around howling for you. Like us, he cannot understand. Gone at only 4, we are heartbroken...

“Humans and animals come to the same end—humans die, animals die. We all breathe the same air. ..We all end up in the same place—we all came from dust, we all end up as dust.”
Ecclesiastes 3

Oh, I am so sorry, Ginny. This is so sad and I know just how you feel. We lost our Truman in April and even tho he was only a year old, we loved him and he was part of the family. (((Hugs)))

Ohhhhh....I'm so sorry. It's so easy to love an animal and so hard to see them go. I truly believe that we will be with our animals again someday.

Dear Ginny
Having lost several cats over the years I feel you pain so much, I have tears in my eyes right now.
It would seem that there was no suffering involved so that must be good. Time heals...

I am so sorry, Ginny. What a pretty cat Cher was. We've lost our share of pets too. It's so hard. They're little furry members of the family. Poor little Sunny. Warm hugs♥

Cooper and Argos are in that field at the Rainbow Bridge and I imagine they are romping about with Cher.
The pictures show one contented kitty as well as a contented Phil.

Best,
Bonnie

Hi Ginny i am so sorry for your loss of Cher. Only 4 years old, not a long life for a cat but I am sure she had a wonderful life and you have many memories now to look back on. Margaret

Hi Ginny, I grew up with three Siamese Cats as my parents were small-time cat breeders for a short while. I have had many kitties during the years and it is always tough when we say goodbye to our feline friends. My prayers are with you and your family.

i know that precious family member has left a hole in your lives, the size measured by the love, comfort and joy he gave, far far larger than his small body.

I am sorry Ginny at the loss of your beloved Cher. I share in your grief as we lost our dear Ethyl last week. Perhaps they are together at the bridge.

I'm truly sorry for your loss Ginny. Our pets are a part of us aren't they? But you gave Cher a warm and loving home and you made her life wonderful.
