We spotted Blue Herons today. They are so large and majestic. Intense and focused. They seem not to fly away from us anymore, but stand there like a wonderful gift.

They're so elegant, aren't they, Ginny? They look like they would "break" easily but I'm sure they're much stronger than they look. ~Andrea xoxo
Beautiful bird with long S-shaped neck, long beak and long legs. So far I have seen any blue heron in my area.
They are magnificent. As are your photos!! They remind me of the flamingo yard art when the stand still for what sΓ©ems like hours.
Your photos are fantastic. What a wonderful gift it was to have the opportunity to spend the time with them
Wow! What great pictures! I’m amazed that they stand so still for you.
super shots of this beautiful heron. they are so focused when hunting their food..
Wonderful images!
So regal - but how do you have them up north - I really thought they were beach birds - I have never seen one here.
They are one of my favorites. Thank you for sharing.
So elegant they almost look like garden statues.
Glad they are willing to pose for you.

That is indeed a gift and you have captured them so perfectly.
They do look regal and elegant. And they’re willing to pose. π❤️
OK!!! You have your blog, the way you want it again. What did you do?
You have the Header, the pic you want. And it fits perfectly, in your header space.
Did you adjust widths, on your blog?

You are lucky they stand there for you!
Fantastic photos and you feel the same as I do, each sighting is a gift. Another great one too, this one from a favorite poet.
