Running errands this evening, we happened to park beside this car, with a dog waiting for his master. He was so sweet, one man stopped and petted him through the window crack.
Then we headed for Target, where the exact opposite happened. The parking lot was crowded, but we found one good spot close to the store. Next to these dogs.
They HATED us. They lunged, growled, barked, and were in a visious frenzy. They wanted to KILL us!
When Phil got out of the car, they tried to get out so badly that I was afraid they would escape. Because look how far the window is rolled down! Then we would be dead meat. I told Phil to get back in the car, and we drove off to find another parking spot further away from the store. DOGGONE!

dog is perpetually on the wrong side of.”

Oh wow, you were very wise. Those windows needed to be rolled up a wee bit more. That quote is so true :)
I like dogs that are friendly. I would be tempted to pet that friendly dog. Yes, you were wise to get Phil to park elsewhere. If that fierce dog has jump out of the car through the window, I dare not think what would have happened to you, Phil or a passerby. The owner should be more careful with their dogs.
I'm surprised that people are still leaving their pets in their cars with all the negativity there has been about it. That truck window is down pretty far. It looks like they could get out of there if they really wanted to.
we are way to hot to leave dogs in cars here. we never leave a dog unattended, for safety of the dogs and people.. I would never pet a dog in a car, what looks friendly might not be.. when we meet dogs on a leash, I always ask if I can pet
I can't believe a pet owner would leave the windows down that far with aggressive dogs. It is sad that a young child could easily be hurt because they aren't as understanding that all dogs aren't meant to be petted.
Oh my gosh, Ginny, that must have been scary. I don't like it when we park next to vehicles and their dogs are barking ferociously. And look at how far that window was rolled down, Yikes! So glad you got out of there and found another parking spot. : )

ps.....the first and the second dog kind of looks like the same breed of dog.
I wonder if they left the window down so far to keep people from parking close to them.
That first dog certainly does look like a sweetheart. I've seen dogs viciously barking and growling in cars before but usually the window is rolled up a little higher!
I have no idea why people take their dogs to the store! I think it's silly. I'm so sorry you were terrorized by these dogs, Ginny. Their owner should not have left the car window down so far. Some people get off on scaring others with their pets. :-( ~Andrea xoxoxo
Oh no... they really look fierce and the window is so low.. yes, wise decision to park somewhere else...
Dogs are so fun to watch. They really don't understand why they didn't get to go along.
Those dogs would have scared me too. Good idea to move!
I would have also found a different spot to park.
That would be scary! I'm glad you don't have them as neighbors.
It's frightening when dogs do that. I once was in a parking lot and a dog in a car kept barking but every time he barked his chest would beep the horn. It was funny. The dog just couldn't figure out what that noise was.
I'm with everybody on this one..too scary and that window is down too far for the size of those dogs.
I never understood people leaving their dogs in cars while they shop anyway...leave them home...
Love Ogden Nash's quote.
