Catching Rays

This is one of the Christmas gifts we got, from our son & daughter-in-law. It is a suncatcher, and the lady who makes them dries wildflowers to press in them.

I had never seen one like this. I am used to the ones that look like stained glass. This had a totally different kind of beauty! I took these shots in different kinds of light.

What a pretty suncatcher that is. I love the colors with the sun shining through. That last one reminds me of mother of pearl.

I like your moon catcher. That quote got me thinking - the moon is always the same - it is just hidden by something - God is always there too - even when we don't feel it so much.

I love the quote!!! That is so true.
The suncatcher is a neat idea. I dry flowers, I wonder if I could make one. I do love stained glass, I should learn how to go about it.

such a neat and unique gift. So neat how she presses the flowers into the glass. I know you both were super happy when you opened this gift.Lots of sun sun catching days ahead.

oooh it's very pretty. I love the quote too. It's not really the moon changing at all. It's us moving! Things change depending upon how you are looking at them, or where you are looking at them from. Perception is everything.
I'm so happy you are feeling better!

That is a very lovely sun catcher, Ginny, and one of those gifts that can be enjoyed on a daily basis, which is the best type! Thanks for your comment on my post about the Tower of London and to answer your question, yes, I did take all the photos, except for the ones of the crown jewels and those unfortunates who were executed or murdered.

It's beautiful Ginny and such a thoughtful gift. I don't think I have ever seen anything like it, so unusual especially with the dried flowers inside.
